Possible Configuration Issue - What causes it?

A ‘Possible Configuration’ message appears when our algorithm detects a slightly higher level of production than expected.

This issue does not affect your system production in any way and only affects our ability to inform you how your system is truly performing.

Possible causes includes:

Incorrect solar system details. Most common mistakes are:
- Incorrect orientation or tilt of the panels
- Different make/model of inverter or panels
- Incorrect number of panels entered
Incorrect monitoring device details (please ignore this for an Inverter API integration site)
External factors that our algorithm can’t account for when diagnosing your system performance such as:
- Presence of micro-inverters or DC optimisers which have a higher efficiency than regular inverters
- The presence of solar tracking systems
- Use of bi-facial panels (panels which have glass on the back as well as the front)
- Unusual fluctuations in our weather data - if this is the case the issue should resolve in a few days.
- Large discrepancies between weather at your location and at the nearest weather station.
- The reflected light from surroundings could be particularly strong for the location.
- If the panels are free from dust and debris, the soiling level may not be as bad as we assume in our calculations. (typically not a major factor)
- Panels performing slightly better than expected due to producing a the upper end of their power tolerance or degrading less than expected over time
- The wiring losses may be lower then normal depending of the size of the wiring
