Can I monitor consumption only?
Section titled “Can I monitor consumption only?”Yes, you can monitor consumption only. CTs can be used to monitor whole site consumption or sub-circuits, according to the requirements of the customer. However, such sites do not have a ‘Performance’ page because there is no solar production being monitored.
Also, if only sub-circuit consumption is being monitored, there will be no Live Monitor feature (5 second interval data) available on the customer dashboard. To activate the Live Monitor, at least one channel should be allocated to whole site consumption (AC Load Net).
Troubleshoot an issue when the net consumption is not captured
Section titled “Troubleshoot an issue when the net consumption is not captured”Please ensure that the CTs are clamped onto the line side of the main supply switch or the meter to allow the device to capture both the grid import and export back to the grid.
Can the CT cable length be extended?
Section titled “Can the CT cable length be extended?”Yes! You can extend the CT up to 10 meters using either a Cat5 or Cat6 network cables as long as they are properly crimped/soldered and insulated. Any more than 10 meters can cause issues with the data accuracy.
