Monitoring AC Coupled Batteries (e.g. Tesla Powerwall) with Solar Analytics

Solar Analytics can be used to monitor your Tesla Powerwall or Tesla Powerwall 2.

In order to do this, simply contact your installer and ask them to clamp a Solar Analytics/Wattwatcher CT between the circuit breaker for the Tesla Powerwall and the Tesla Powerwall. Please refer to the image below.

This is how your battery will be represented on the Solar Analytics Dashboard.

• Positive (battery graph above the line) indicates that the battery is charging
• Negative (battery graph below the line) indicates that the battery is discharging

At the moment we are unable to show the state of charge for AC-coupled batteries.

If you would like to have the state of charge of the battery, please check our OEM Inverter solutions. A reminder that the OEM hybrid inverters may only work with a DC-coupled battery.

**A similar principle can be applied to any other AC-coupled battery system.
