Integrated+ FAQs - Retailers/installers
Integrated+ is a product that offers the full Solar Analytics experience, combining electricity meter data and solar production data through Consumer Data Rights.
The following FAQs are focused only on the Integrated+ product offering.
Who is eligible for Integrated+ (via CDR)
- Sites with Sungrow, Fronius, Goodwe, GE Solar or LG inverters. These inverters are required to be registered as Integrated sites. Classic sites aren’t eligible
- Production-only sites (sites without consumption meter)
- Customer must be with a CDR-supported retailer - see the full list here
- Available in Australia, only in the National Electricity Market (excludes NT and WA)
What happens if the customer is with a different energy retailer?
The majority of Australian retailers are required to make their data available via CDR by November 2023, and more will be coming online throughout 2024. The most up-to-date list of supported retailers is here.
What happens if the customer switches away from a CDR-supported retailer?
Consumption data will not be accessible anymore and previous data will be deleted.
What about sites with hybrid inverters, or batteries?
- Hybrid inverters should ideally have energy meters already, so the Integrated+ option would probably be redundant.
- AC-coupled batteries are not supported. If a customer with an AC-coupled battery adds their consent for CDR, it will lead to negative consumption data on the dashboard. This is because AC-coupled batteries are not communicating with the inverter, and not sending information about battery charge, discharge or consumption to Solar Analytics. Hence we won’t get the full picture of energy usage on the site. This will also result in inaccuracy in savings, battery calculator and plan recommendations.
- For sites with AC-coupled batteries, Solar Analytics’ Classic product with a Wattwatchers smart monitor will be the best solution.
- Sites with DC-coupled batteries will be able to get consumption via our standard Integrated product
As a retailer, why can’t I see consumption data?
Consumption data (and consumption derived data) obtained via CDR is restricted to the primary site owner, so retailers are not able to view or download anything that contains consumption data. Retailers will see the site as a production-only site instead. Once a site owner has provided their consent for CDR, retailers will be able to see that the Hardware in their My Sites List will be recorded as Open Energy:
When can customers see consumption data?
- Consumption data will be available 10 minutes after consent has been granted.
- Consumption data will backfill up to 90 days
- Owners will see consumption data as long as they have an active consent (consent needs to be renewed after 12 months)
Why is the customer’s consumption data lagging a day behind?
The energy retailer provides consumption data one day behind.
Why can the owner see a step pattern graph for their consumption?
This can happen when the energy retailer sends us data with a 30-minute resolution. More commonly though (80% of sites so far) energy retailers are providing 5-minute resolution for consumption data.
The owner can’t see consumption data and it’s been more than ten minutes since they granted consent
- Ensure that electricity meter is not a basic, accumulation or Type 6 meter e.g. an EM1000 Energex meter. Type 6 meters are read manually every three months, not autonomously, meaning we cannot use it to provide consumption data in a Solar Analytics Dashboard. Owners may be able to request an upgrade to a smart electricity meter from their energy retailer.
- For certain types of meters such as MRIM (Manually Read Interval Meter) or COMMS4D meter, it will take some time for consumption data to load, if you have any of these meters, please reach out to our Support Team to check when is the next scheduled date read for consumption data to be ready.
- If this is not the issue, please contact Support.
